Contrary to popular belief, workwear can be far from boring. The typical vibe for the office environment is to get things done…it’s the ‘no distractions allowed zone’. We are expected to deliver…deliver…deliver at work. Yeah!!! But who says you can’t deliver while looking dashing. The fact is that some boss babes like myself enjoy looking corporate chic with all the hustle and bustle of working 9 to 5. And if you’re a boss on the bland side with your workwear game but would like to join the dapper office crew, I have simple tips (listed below) for you.
- Consider colors – whether you’re a rainbow enthusiast or a mellow maven, you can rely on colors to look corporate fly. Try incorporating a bit (or loads) of bright colors or neutrals in your wardrobe.
- Take on textures – why settle for things plain or straight when you can add some richness and movement to your outfit with textures. Pleated skirts are perfect for adding some character to your work outfit.
- Play with prints – from polka dots to florals to geometric shapes, you can count on prints to help your work looks be fabulous and snooze free.
