One of my favorite sayings is ‘necessity is the mother of invention’. As a modest fashionista with access to limited fashion-forward options to dress in, you can understand why this saying appeals dearly to me. The fact is that it often feels like mission impossible for boss ladies looking to dress dapper to work. But the positive thing about the scarcity of clothes (with coverage) is how it forces us to channel our creative side more often. For instance, when you can’t get a long dress, you can use separates to whip one together. And this week, I cooked up a lit makeshift dress using animal print separates.
