Today’s post is a continuation of the suit series that I started sharing last month (link to February’s post). This month’s favorite suit fusion theme is neutrals with a tinge of popping accessories. I’m a sucker for neutral hues like heather grey, beige and ivory but I haven’t been fortunate with bagging the ‘perfect’ neutral suit for work. I like the classic suit look i.e. matching pants and blazer. Most of the work appropriate (matchy) suits I’ve managed to come by are either dark (black or navy blue) or bright-colored (red or yellow/mustard). And on the rare occasions that I found a few light grey suits, they didn’t look flattering enough for my taste.
After numerous setbacks with my mission to find the ideal neutral suit, I finally found a fun way to suit up with neutrals. Some of the well-made separates (blazer or pants) I own were designed as individual pieces. Among some of my favorite suit separates are the grey blazer and off-white wide-leg pants featured in this post. BTW…I found them at Zara. Zara has been my go-to store for fashionable suit separates…so if you’re searching for similar stuff, you know where to go 🙂 . Back to how I fused my neutral suit ensemble this month…I wore the blazer and pants duo mentioned earlier with a refreshing floral blouse print. I accessorized with a coral handbag to help brighten up the outfit.
I’ve included links (highlighted) to available outfit items below the first picture.
I’m a project manager by day and a fashionista/style enthusiast always. I have a diverse range of contradictory interests…fashion vs activism, ice cream cake vs spinach salad…but I love & proudly embrace them all.
