Mirror Mirror – Monochrome & Fleur Fever

Thinking of basics, I went on to embrace mine last week…and by basics, I mean easy peasy monochrome one-dim (dimension)…lol. You can’t deny that monochromatic style and aesthetic have an exquisiteness and polish to them. A simple example that comes to mind is how you perceive styling or decorating with all white or blue or green. I can’t help but admire the aura of monochromatic outfits that I frequently love to get dolled up in this trend. And if you’d like to get a sense of some monochrome vigor,  check out this all-red intense look from one of my summer 2017 blog posts.

As an avid fashion experimenter, I love to be audacious with my work style and I tend to take things up a notch by fusing different trends together. As much as monochrome look superb by themselves, finding ways to color coordinate differently can create an equally killer look. One way to revamp the monochromatic style is to combine a solid color separate you fancy with similarly colored prints. A readily available print option that is super easy to style is floral prints. I took on the monochrome and print duo by wearing burgundy floral jumpsuit and boots to work.

I’ve included links (highlighted) to available outfit items below the first picture.

I’m a project manager by day and a fashionista/style enthusiast always. I have a diverse range of contradictory interests…fashion vs activism, ice cream cake vs spinach salad…but I love & proudly embrace them all.
