How to Camouflage Grey

In my humble ‘style’ opinion, there is nothing more basic yet conspicuous as the power of the monochromatic style. There is an exhilarating appeal that comes with dressing up with one color and this trend never seems to get old. Not only is this style very easy to put together, it is also effortless to pull off. Monochromatic looks are one of my favorite fashion trends for work. The monochromatic trend is versatile and it works great for ANY hue or tone. They’re especially safe for professional gals who love to brighten up the office. Nevertheless, neutral monochromatic looks are relatively subtle compared to brights but still happen to look fashionably charming.

Finding monochromatic outfits can sometimes pose a challenge. I’ve occasionally managed to come across like colored solid separates or clothing that closely match something in my closet. However, I’m sometimes unable to create seamless outfits because I can’t find clothes with exact/close colors. Luckily, I recently stumbled on a fabric tip that helped me overcome this hurdle. The trick is to focus less on plain solid colors and seek out mixed fabrics that give the illusion of a certain color, like houndstooth fabric (see the skirt in this post). A black/white houndstooth separate looks quite grey-like and works nicely as part of an all grey outfit.
