Blazer & Oversized Sweater

It’s like winter returned with a revenge this year!

There have been way too many bone-chilling days for me to handle and we’re not yet halfway through winter. To say the list, the past few weeks have been consistently finger-numbing and extremely chilly. So what is a girl to do but adapt…lol. With temperatures hovering around -10 to -14 degrees, keeping warm is non-negotiable and I’ve had to do some serious bundling with cozy clothes and winter gear. On these type of frigid days, I double up on serious reinforcements like chunky oversized sweaters, tall boots, leather gloves and heavy coats. Weirdly, I’m a huge fan of winter clothes. I actually enjoy layering during the winter weather, especially with chunky sweaters.

The challenge with wearing chunky or thick oversized sweaters to work is attempting to style them without looking shabby or overly laid back. Formal sweaters generally tend to be lightweight and fitted. Although stylish, the downside with formal sweaters is that they can barely keep you warm on a wintry day. On the other hand, oversized sweaters are ideal for frigid weather, casual looking in nature but often has a drab appeal to it. A perfect way to make an oversized sweater more work appropriate is to boost its allure by accessorizing with a waist belt. For a more sharp appeal, you can wear a structured blazer (like I did in this post) over the sweater.
