If you envision something but can’t find it…make it! This statement pretty much sums up why I came up with the outfit featured in today’s post.
With pleats in this season, I’ve been looking to try them out in different ways. I wore a pleated skirt a few weeks ago (link) and I couldn’t stop thinking about how dapper the silhouettes of the pleats looked. Last week, I started thinking about alternative pleated clothing to wear to the office, and I settled for a pleated dress. However, I didn’t have any luck finding a dress. So I decided to look through my closet and improvise with what was available.
After checking out my closet, I was able to make my very own pleated dress. I made the dress by pairing a neon green skirt and tweed blouse. I’ve had a tough time wearing this tweed blouse because it has an awkward length. The blouse length is somewhere between my upper and lower waist. And I tend to prefer blouse lengths that fall below my hips. But my DIY pleated dress proved that the tweed blouse can come in super handy 😉 .
I’ve included links (highlighted) to available outfit items below the first picture.
