Happy belated 4th of July! I hope you celebrated Independence day like a boss. 😉
Speaking of boss behavior, I love dressing to work looking sharp and bold…basically like a boss 🙂 . And when I’m looking to transform an okay work outfit to a striking one, I just throw on a well-tailored jacket or a pair of sleek pumps and voila. Well-made jackets are the classic style piece I can always rely on to make an entrance 😉 . And for some weird reason, I was in the mood to wear jackets or something jacket-like every day of this week. From my last post, you’ll notice that I wore a blazer dress that practically looks like a jacket. So in the spirit of continuity, I’m sharing another jacket outfit with a summer twist in this post.
The jacket (below) is from Lavish Alice and I typically wear it during the fall/winter weather because of its pale green color. But then I thought to myself…how interesting would it be to give this jacket some summer shake-up? So I paired the jacket with a bright-colored shirt and floral pants and I was ecstatic with the outcome 🙂
I’ve included links (highlighted in red) to available outfit items in the pictures below.
Pairing bright separates with neutral accessories is a great way to style bright colors for work.
The neutral hue of the jacket and purse helped tone down the brightness of the coral shirt…making the shirt appear kind of subtle.
Look at all the structure and definition of this jacket <3
In essence, I’m super stoked to have discovered how lovely this jacket looks with bright summer colors and prints. So what’s your verdict on this look? Leave your thoughts in the comment section.
